You get to review so many good ones! I had to add this one to my TBR as well.

However, to hear a little more about the main character and her perspective makes me want to finally pick it up. I want to see what she and her family go through in the aftermath.

But she does, as she came home one day and explained it to me. It is sad. She is in 1st grade. I wish that innocence could last longer. As a mother, this book was horrific, but I appreciate that Jennifer Banash took the task of writing it. I think this may make people think; if not of ways to stop these acts from happening, then at least of how to cope in the inevitable aftermath.

I have often thought about what happens to those people but my sadness for the victims always seems to over shadow it. This is one of my hand downs biggest fears. That the place I send my child will one day to be safe for him. I might try to read it…before he is in school. Great review!
