I remember reading this one when I was a kid too! It's crazy to see some of the books that have been banned. How can our kids learn to think for themselves if they never see anything even remotely controversial? Nicole @ Feed Your Fiction Addiction

I’ve always believed that books shouldn’t be banned. Many of the most amazing literary works out in the world are being censored in schools, in libraries, etc. By banning books, we are also limiting what our children will read. This limits their education and freedom of expression.

I never read this book by Ms. Blume but it sounds pretty good. Thanks for the post!

I’ve never actually read this one even though I know all about it. I find it sad that books are still being challenged and that some schools/libraries even self-censor because they don’t want the backlash. It is a freedom of choice and the majority should not be punished because the minority doesn’t agree with the content.
