Everyone loves a good old fashion kissing booth and today we have some pretty amazing people volunteering!
First up, we have Violet, a wonderful girl who is very talented at playing the cello.
Next, we have Ash, who is extremely handsome and rather talented with things we probably shouldnât discuss.
Then, we have Raven, a beautiful girl full of spirit, but she has had a rather hard few months so she might be rather quiet.
Then, there is Lucien, an amazing man who has a big heart and mad makeover skills.
Last, we have The Duchess of the Lake, she is a vicious, cunning woman that knows how to get exactly what she wants.
Which one are you wanting to kiss?
Today we have Amy Ewing here doing an interview, first let’s look at her upcoming novel, and end to The Lone City trilogy, The Black Key!

For too long, Violet and the people of the outer circles of the Lone City have lived in service to the royalty of the Jewel. But now the secret society known as the Black Key is preparing to seize power.
And while Violet knows she is at the center of this rebellion, she has a more personal stake in itâher sister, Hazel, has been taken by the Duchess of the Lake. Now, after fighting so hard to escape the Jewel, Violet must do everything in her power to return to save not only Hazel, but the future of the Lone City.
B: How does it feel to have The Lone City trilogy coming to an end?
A: Itâs such a strange mix of emotionsâthereâs this fierce pride that Iâve completed this whole, long story, that Iâve filled three books with these characters lives. And then on the flip side, itâs so hard to fathom not writing them anymore, not hanging out with them and seeing them grow and change. Itâs really bittersweet.
B: If you could bring back any deleted scenes from any of your books would you? And if it doesnât spoil anything, can you share it here?
A: Hmmmâ¦any deleted scenes would be from really early drafts, so they are not only super embarrassing but not relevant anymore ð There was this whole chapter where Garnet gets a promotion and thereâs this ceremony and I wrote the whole shebang, speeches and customs and everything, and my editor was like, âYeah butâ¦does this advance the plot in any way?â
Spoiler alert: it did not. Now I think itâs just a paragraphââGarnet gets promoted, moving onâ¦â Itâs crazy how sometimes you canât see whatâs important and whatâs not. Which is one of a million reasons why I love my editor.
B: Which of your characters do you relate to the most?
A: Probably VioletâI definitely feel closest to her since I live in her head. We are both stubborn, we both love music, we are both romantics. Though Iâm not sure Iâm quite as rebellious as she is!
B: What carnival food could you eat every day and never get sick of?
A: I love cotton candy. I love the fluffiness and the way it melts in your mouth. I donât have much of a sweet tooth, but for cotton candy I make an exception.
B: If you were working at a kissing booth, who would you hope was in the line next? ;P
A: Hahaha! Fictional or real? I have so many fictional crushesâJon Snow, Peeta, Ash (obviously). But if he had to be real, Iâve got to go with Oscar Isaac. I think heâs so handsome and talented.
B: If someone dared you to write “book nerd” on your forehead while wearing your favorite pajamas – and then share a photo of it – would you do it? (If so, we double dog dare you to do it and share it with us right here!) ð
A: Oh Iâd totally do it!

Who would you want to be in line if you were working at Kissing Booth?
Head over to Dark Faerie Tales to see her latest booth stop!
I would love to be able to read author’s first drafts, it would be sooooo interesting to see their oringinal thoughts and ideas. But I’m not sure they would want to share……;)

New series to me but one I’m definitely interested in checking out – ii sounds amazing! Really cool interview and I love that the author has a sweet tooth for cotton candy or fairy floss as us Aussies call it – it was my childhood favourite!
